What we collect & why
Plain language, no fine print. Here's exactly what data Macro Meal Hacks uses, why, and how to control it.
Food logs & macros
The foundation of every recommendation.
- Used to track progress and personalize your daily targets.
- Never sold or shared with advertisers.
- You can export or delete everything from Settings.
Wearable data (Apple Health, Garmin, Whoop)
Optional. Lets us explain the 'why' behind your trends.
- Sleep, stress, and activity help us correlate behavior with outcomes.
- Only metrics needed for insights are stored — no raw heart-rate streams.
- Disconnect anytime in Settings → Connected apps. We delete the data on disconnect.
Pantry & grocery
So suggestions match what you actually have.
- Used to recommend meals from staples you already own.
- Powers expiration reminders and smart grocery lists.
- Never shared with grocers or third parties unless you opt into a sync.
Location & Dining Assist
Only on, only when you ask.
- Used to notice when you're near a saved or recently visited restaurant.
- Never tracked in the background — location is read at the moment of use.
- Off by default. Toggle in Settings → Data permissions.
Personalization signals
Patterns we learn from your behavior in the app.
- What blueprints you save, what you log most, what you skip.
- Used to tune insights and reduce noise in your notifications.
- Turn off personalization to receive generic recommendations.
Your controls
Everything above is opt-out.
